About
Gianluca Bonifazi is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Information Engineering (DII), Polytechnic University of Marche (Ancona, Italy). I received my Ph.D. in Information Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Marche, where I defended my thesis "From Social Interactions To Neural Connections: Understanding Complex Systems Through The Unifying Language Of Networks". His research focuses on Complex Networks and Artificial Intelligence, with applications in Social Networks, Blockchain, and Neural Networks optimization and explainability. He has been a Visiting Researcher at TU Wien and an Affiliate Researcher at the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (Bologna, Italy) as part of the project CovidStat. He is also the co-founder of the innovative start-up NEXIST.
